Located on a pristine 18-acre campus with spectacular views of the Detroit River on three sides, Riverview Health & Rehab Center Jefferson offers short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care with many private or semi-private rooms for residents of all ages. All beds are dual-certified by both Medicare and Medicaid, and Riverview Jefferson also accepts most other private healthcare insurances and patient-pay. The aging of America’s baby-boomers is a well-documented phenomenon, and as our seniors live longer, provision must be made for the long-term care of individuals whether healthy or with complex and chronic healthcare needs. Riverview Jefferson is proud to be one of the few facilities in Michigan that specializes in the care of a ventilator dependent resident. Our qualified professionals include pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, and specially trained nurses.
Behavioral needs are also fully supported at Riverview. With a dedicated wing specifically designed to meet the special needs of the older adult who is experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. This area provides a medically supervised, structured and safe/secure environment.

Additional specialized therapeutic services include physical, occupational and speech therapies for post-surgical hip, knee, and shoulder rehabilitation as well as for trauma, stroke, chronic pain, amputation, cardiac conditions and other potentially disabling conditions.
As with all of Riverview Health’s continuing care communities, Riverview provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation care with 203 beds, including both private and semi-private residences of all ages. All beds are dual-certified by both Medicare and Medicaid, and we also accept most other private healthcare insurances and patient-pay. In addition, we provide our residents with comprehensive psychosocial care through our staff psychiatrists, psychologists and State of Michigan licensed and registered Social Workers. Riverview Jefferson also supports our residents’ families and friends with respite care to provide short-term, temporary relief for those caring for a family member or loved one. Our trained staff of health professionals also provides end-of-life care, working with several licensed Michigan hospice organizations.
