Located in the Northeast corner of Detroit right next to Grosse Pointe, you can continue living in the same community as your friends making it easy to get together and enjoy each others company. In addition, Riverview North offers a variety of organized as well as self directed activities.

Coffee Chat - Coffee and hot tea are available daily. Each Thursday fresh pastries and bagels are served. Residents gather for conversation and sometimes a function or speaker during Coffee Chat.

Computer Use - The Computer Center is home to personal computers, printers and high speed internet access available to the residents 24 hours a day.

Exercise - The Fitness Centers are open daily with a variety of equipment. The areas are equipped with televisions. Guest instructors visit offering classes on fitness and nutrition.

Arts & Crafts - A varied list of arts & craft shows and classes are available every Sunday morning.

Dance Lessons - Weekly dance lessons are held in the multipurpose room. All skill levels are welcome. Residents can learn everything from line dancing to ballroom dancing.

Games - Resident card games, board games, potluck, bingo, etc. are scheduled regularly on various days and times and are on-going. Billiards and Gamerooms

Movies - Movies are shown weekly in the theater. Residents are also able to use the theater for viewing of movies/dvd’s of their own.

Entertainment - Professional entertainers, singers, musicians and theatre presentations appear regularly.

Excursions - Ventures for sightseeing, special exhibits, shows, casinos and other day trips are offered.

Library - Books, magazines and other periodicals are available for resident enjoyment.

Community Service - Residents accept the challenge to serve their neighbors in a variety of ways. Non-perishable food donations are on-going for Children’s Aid, as well other worthwhile projects.

Educational Seminars - Residents are offered a variety of seminars on an on-going basis. Health education, Medicare changes, etc. are some examples of past topics.
