About Riverview North
Situated on a meticulously manicured 11-acre campus adjacent to Grosse Pointe, Riverview Health & Rehab Center North offers short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care with 180 private or semi-private rooms for residents of all ages. All beds are dual-certified by both Medicare and Medicaid, and Riverview North also accepts most other private healthcare insurances and patient-pay.
The aging of America’s baby-boomers is a well documented phenomenon, and as our seniors live longer, provision must be made for the long-term care of individuals whether healthy or with complex and chronic healthcare needs. At Riverview North we are focused on meeting this growing need in our community and stand ready to provide a comfortable home for those residents who need assistance, including medical therapy for those aged patients who also require sophisticated medical and nursing treatments.
Friendships develop quickly between residents through the recognition of shared interests and participation in a variety of enjoyable activities. These friendships have no boundary with respect to age or background since all long-term care residents commingle readily. Resources exist to support residents in pursuits from recreation to study and religious observance. And just as each patient soon comes to feel a part of the Riverview North family, so too, are their relatives soon adopted as well. Parties, celebrations, club meetings and other gatherings are all venues for family visitation and the maintenance of those bonds of love so important to each resident.

We strive to help you simplify the numerous health, financial and safety issues, from insurance, medication, and care. Our seasoned staff would be glad to facilitate and assist you with all your medical paperwork. We are Medicare and Medicaid Certified and accept several other major insurances.

Those in need of sophisticated medical therapies can often find all they need right here, avoiding onerous trips to other facilities for care.
Personalized Services and Amenities
Although at Riverview North our main concern is the physical and mental health of our residents, we also recognize the vital importance of – and are fully committed to – delivering an exceptionally high quality of life through numerous personalized services and amenities. Accordingly, all of our residents have access to comprehensive dental, vision, hearing and podiatry care to ensure their ongoing personal health and well-being. Riverview North provides a staff minister to administer to our residents’ spiritual needs, with church services held regularly. All meals and snacks are carefully planned and provided through licensed dieticians. A full slate of daily activities – including entertainment and off-site group outings – are planned and coordinated by a certified recreational therapist.
We even have our own motor coaches and drivers to ensure that residents are safely transported to and from all off-site outings, such as to a Detroit Tigers baseball game, the Detroit Zoo or Belle Isle. In fact, at Riverview North, our residents actually plan many of their own activities through their residents’ council. Riverview North also offers residents their own beauty salon and barbershop, laundry services and satellite television in both the residents’ rooms and many common areas. Aviaries and aquariums are located throughout Riverview North, providing residents, employees and visitors alike with colorful visual interest and cheerful chirping – music to their ears – throughout its halls. Additional amenities within the walls of Riverview North include a library and meeting room, from which residents can check out books or simply relax and read in a bright and cheerful setting. And our gift shop and ice cream parlor provide a meeting place for residents and their visitors with sustenance for their body and soul.

We are located in close proximity of 3 local medical centers – Ascension St. John Hospital, Beaumont Hospital Grosse Pointe (Corewell Health) and Henry Ford Medical Center – Grosse Pointe.
